FFNZ's Graphic Systems business manager Ian Gibson, says the first 12 months for FFNZ have seen a period of sustained growth with the integration itself into Fujifilm presenting significant technology advantages from sharing resources from the other divisions.

"These present future opportunities that we will take to the market on a united front such as Digital Picture Book Technology which is a huge growth market internationally."

He says FFNZ is totally administered and run out of New Zealand for the New Zealand market and "we see this as a major advantage as we try and provide the best possible local support.

"This is very evident than in the integration of the team from Dainippon Screen, who joined FFNZ in April this year with Graham Blackall as national sales manager for Electronic Imaging, and Andi Frey and Peter Whittle as technical specialists.

"This certainly strengthens our ability to support the market and the Screen range of equipment fits hand in glove with the excellent range of Thermal Plate Technologies available from Fujifilm."

Among the major successes in the past 12 months was the installation of eight Krause CTP devices at the Fairfax Metro sites and six Fuji CTP devices at the APN Regional sites.

"This has elevated Fujifilm to the number one supplier within the newspaper market segment in New Zealand," he claims.

Fujifilm / Screen is developing new products which will be introduced over the next 12 months.

"With drupa in sight, within this time frame we can expect the following new product releases within the plate market, namely Pro-T Thermal Processless Plate, Chemical Free Violet, and the LP-NV2 plate which will be available in NZ from January 2008."
