With just over a week to go until the Total Supply and Spicers Charity Golf Day, organisers report an abundance of interest this year, with teams and hole sponsorship almost at capacity.
The event takes place at the Pakuranga Golf Club on March 20. Cameron Harris, general manager at Total Supply, says, “We are rapt with the response from the industry community. Many of the entrants come from returning players, keen to support the new charity: The New Zealand Cancer Society.
“This year we are taking a green approach with all signage printed on Valueboard, a sustainable media alternative for corflute. We are committed to changing the industry and the impact we have on the environment as a whole.”
The 2020 event supports The New Zealand Cancer Society; a cause nominated by Spicers and Total Supply staff. He says, “In the past two years, the event has raised almost $30,000 and with an increased attendance, this year we plan to smash it.
“With team and hole sponsorship almost full, we still welcome any prize donations for the auction at the end of play. So far, we have everything from coffee machines and wine tours to sporting merchandise and beauty hampers.
“A key item of interest is the Mimaki CG-60SRIII Plotter, kindly donated by Mimaki Australia, and we will take pre-auction bids prior to the day. You can place your highest bid via your Total Supply or Spicers account manager and they will bid on your behalf, up to your maximum bid. All funds go to the Cancer Society, so a great opportunity to update your equipment and also support a great cause.”
The day promises to be a lively one. Golfers can arrive at Pakuranga Golf Club from 11am, and tee-off time is midday. Prizegiving and a charity auction takes place at 4.30pm and organisers promise to have the formalities over with by 6.30pm
