The new HP Latex FS50 series printers offer a range of applications

HP has launched the Latex FS50 series for super wide format production. The company has also made its Live Production software available.

The scalable 3.2m HP Latex FS50 series boasts a 30 per cent wider gamut than its predecessor, according to HP, which adds that scalability means the printers can grow with customer expectations, keep up with the latest technological advancements and tap into new business and revenue streams.

Oscar Vidal, HP large format print product and strategy global director, says, “We understand the importance of scalability and growth for high volume and long-run print service providers. With the introduction of the HP Latex FS50 series and the upcoming availability of the new features of Live Production software, we are expanding scalability to both hardware and software solutions. Our goal is to provide print service providers with the tools they need to achieve sustainable growth and thrive in an ever-changing market.”

The scalable platform of the HP Latex FS50 also allows for easy integration of future enhancements, while offering a longer lifespan and reduced environmental impact.

Signage and décor applications include thin films, vinyl, and odourless backlit textiles. With water-based odourless prints and no hazardous air pollutants, the HP Latex FS50 and FS60 series meet environmental certifications.

HP Live Production software enables management of print workflow by controlling devices remotely and acting on their printer queue in real-from a desktop and/or the new mobile app.

Pickawall, an Australian removable wallpaper company and HP customer, says it needed better control over production, especially when printing unattended. It adds it would be valuable to monitor printer status, perform remote actions, and receive ink notifications. HP says that, built on robust data and real time communication capabilities, the new features in Live Production enable Pickawall to redefine print management and deliver a competitive advantage. The new functionalities for Live Production are now available, for users of HP Professional Print Service Plans.

Vidal adds, “By investing in innovations in hardware and software, print service providers can stay ahead of the curve in this technology-driven industry. This scalable platform, combining innovative hardware and software solutions, ensures that print service providers can make strategic investments, optimise their workflows, and drive profitability.”
