James Gray, CEO of TAOPIX says while the company is relatively new to the Asian market, it already has some large commercial printers, photo labs and digital printers as customers.

He says, “Our traditional route to market in Asia has always been via our UK office. As a recognised hub for regional commerce, Singapore is the perfect place for our first office in Asia and will provide us with excellent access to what is a geographically and economically a huge marketplace.”

Richard Watson, who’s appointment to president became effective this month, brings more than 17 years of business development, sales and leadership experience in the printing industry, including senior sales roles with Scitex, NUR Macroprinters, Honeywell and, Press-Sense, according to TAOPIX.

Watson will be responsible for rolling out the company’s sales strategy for its TAOPIX V 2.1 end-to-end photo book workflow solution in key markets in the Asia-Pacific region including China, Japan, India and Australia.

Watson says, “I believe customisable photo book printing represents the largest application opportunity in printing today, and I want to be part of this opportunity. I’m looking forward to playing a key role in a company that has the ambition and drive to become a leader in its field.”
