Label manufacturer UPM Raflatac has updated its security range with four new products.
The range includes, Raflasec Holo Security, a holographic material that users can combine with security cuts so that the label breaks when tampered with. Raflasec Fibres, a label material, contains both visible and invisible fibres to allow authentication under UV light. The material has a chemical sensitisation feature, meaning it changes colour if removal with chemicals is attempted.
Raflasec Seal, a label material that tears easily, also offers low investment costs with high printability and opacity, according to Flint Group. Lastly, Raflasec Chameleon, a material that changes colour when removed, cannot be reapplied after removal
Thomas Treichel, Segment Manager – Security Postal UPM, Raflatac says, “Security labelling not only authenticates products to consumers, but also protects the company’s brand and reduces the risk of lost revenues and liability issues. We have developed solutions from ultra-destructible films to void and paper materials supporting various security labelling requirements.
“Now we will introduce our new Raflasec Security range with long-term supply stability at SDW. We are also continuously developing new security labelling solutions with our customers and brand owners”
