Screen GP is testing its new Truepress Jet L250AQ mini digital label press prior to displaying it at Auspack, and says it is impressed with the results.
Peter Scott, managing director, Screen GP Australia says, “Colours are vibrant, while fine text, barcodes and QR codes are rendered precisely due to the 1600dpi resolution and fine 1.8 picolitre ink droplet size.”
Scott says Screen GP has aimed the printer at label converters, print houses, end users, and brand owners. He says the Truepress Jet L250AQ’s applications include short run labels on PP, PE, PET, BOPP, paper, white, clear, matt and gloss, while variable data labels are also possible.
“The press came out-of-the-box and quickly ramped up to production. Printers should invest in it because it has the lowest comparable investment cost and running costs in its class, the technology uses far less ink than other digital technologies and the wear and tear parts are economic and easy to change.”
