Bryce Printers’ current owner, the Whakatane Beacon bought the company a year ago, and is now in expansion mode with the new printing company under its belt and a range of new technology to boot.
Bryce’s general manager Kevin Crowe says the two Rotorua businesses have been amalgamated into one operation with a total staff of 18 operating out of Bryce’s Te Ngae Road premises. It has also undergone a name change to Dudfield Bryce Printers Ltd and has just held an auction to sell off its equipment surplus created by the amalgamation.
Whakatane Beach managing director, John Spring is thrilled with the purchase of Dudfield Printing saying: “It is a huge move for us to buy Dudfield Printing but it is such a tremendous opportunity.”
The new company has further expansion plans, especially into the digital arena.
Dudfield Printing was set up by Roger and Penny Dudfield who built the commercial printing business up from scratch. All the staff from their company have been employed by its new owner.
