Both product ranges will be updated free of charge to the end user as part of Roland DG’s ongoing worldwide Value-Up programmes. The Value-Up programme has been encompassed within the new international Roland DG Care initiative that was launched locally in November 2008.

The company says both Roland DG Care and Value-UP have been created to expand upon and emphasise the level of aftercare that Roland DG provides post purchase.

Marc Margetts, managing director of Roland DG Australia says, “Value-Up provides our end users with practicable benefits to their daily use of our products and demonstrates in a tangible manner the benefits of their investment with Roland DG products.”

With the Value-Up Campaign, Roland’s intelligent pass control SOLJET PRO III Series is now available for VersaCAMM VP’s. Roland says the SOLJET provides smoother gradations and flawless solid colours with optimised dot placement and ink droplet density in all print modes. Adding it also increases throughput up to 80 per cent in standard print mode on banner media and more than 50 per cent on vinyl.

For the AdvancedJET series upgrade includes:

  • Head Protection plates offering increased protection for AdvancedJET print heads to prevent damage from media jams.
  • Roland VersaWorks update version 3.1, including RIPC for VP series, increasing productivity, print quality and providing a wider media coverage.
  • Firmware update version 4.0 – A new feed calibration pattern.
