A deep dive into IVE Group’s $150 million folding carton packaging strategy as well as presentations from key packaging converters will headline the inaugural ProPack Packaging Forum in Sydney.

The ProPack Packaging Forum will take place from 9.00am to 3.00pm at Shangri-La Sydney during the day on Friday 25 October, alongside the 2024 Fespa Australia Conference and prior to the 2024 ProPrint Awards later that evening.

A keynote presentation will explore IVE Group’s entrance into packaging with the acquisition of the JacPak business which has led to IVE Group MD Matt Aitken’s prediction that the company will become a $150 million packaging business within the next five years.

Speaking at the conference will be Peter Fotiadis from Mattingly, who together with the late Geoff Selig and Matt Aitken, led IVE Group’s $35 million acquisition of JacPak, a folding carton packaging manufacturer based in Melbourne.

Nina Nguyen from Pakko

Kissel & Wolf is sponsoring Nina’s wil presentation on Pakko’s growth and acquisition strategies providing further insights into the opportunities and challenges facing the sector as well as more information on the recent acquisition of Boxes R Us, formerly known as CraftPak.

Jamie’s presentation, sponsored by Durst Oceania, will provide insights into why the company pivoted from wide format to the growing labels category.

Said Khoury from United Printing & Packaging

Koeinig & Bauer is sponsoring Said’s presentation where he will discuss his journey after buying United Printing & Packaging (UPP) in February 2014 following a 17-year career in the labels industry.

Within 12 months of buying the business, Khoury’s hard work saw sales double and within five years the company relocated to new premises in Western Sydney. UPP now focuses on delivering a high level of service to folding carton customers in the pharmaceutical, animal health, cosmetic and FMCG markets.
