Put out in booklet form, the survey asks businesses to disclose information on training, their opinion on skill shortages, specifics on wages and charge out rates.
There is a detailed questionnaire on employment practices including leave and other entitlements and a section on perceptions and views of current industry issues from productivity to environmental issues such as waste.
PrintNZ CEO Joan Grace says the survey is used in a variety of ways from reference in wage negotiations to benchmarking performance, but every member needs to fill it out for it to be effective.
It is also used in supporting PrintNZ Training funding applications to Government.
She says the survey is completely confidential and only used for data analysis. It needs to be returned to PrintNZ by September 15.
The data from this year’s survey will be released at the PrintNZ conference in October.
