Once again Prinect technology will be the centerpiece of Heidelberg’s display as Management, Production and Colour Solutions integrate production workflows with deliverable JDF/CIP4 technology. Experience the talk of IPEX, the revolutionary Speedmaster SM 52 with Anicolor inking system, along with advances in one pass productivity, including perfecting, inline coating, UV and die cutting. IPEX firsts in Postpress will be presented and our business services area will feature systemservice, business development, the Print Media Academy and careers@Heidelberg.

After the show each day customers are invited to the ‘Small Format Shoot Out’, to be held at Heidelberg’s Mt. Wellington office in Auckland. These live demonstrations aim to show owners of small offset shops the advantages to be gained in improving automation across all aspects of their production chain. For many small shop owners, investment in new equipment is a big decision, and the thought of bringing prepress and postpress functions in-house is seen as a step into the ‘dark side’ for many printers.

By running the same job on a GTO, a Speedmaster SM 52 and a Printmaster PM 52 Heidelberg’s ‘Small Format Shoot Out’ will demonstrate to small shop owners the efficiency and quality gains delivered through new technology. Printers can see first hand how to reap returns with faster, less labour-intensive equipment, and learn at the same time how user-friendly the current generation of prepress and postpress equipment really is for the small printer.

Readers can register for any of the three ‘Small Format Shoot Outs’, to be held Sunday 11th June (4.30pm), Monday 12th June (6.00pm) and Tuesday 13th June (4.30pm) by going to www.nz.heidelberg.com. Transfers from Printech and drinks/finger food will be offered.
