The early bird entry level for this year’s Pride In Print Awards has surpassed last year’s early birds by 70 per cent.
Awards manager Sue Archibald says, “The judges once again will have their work cut out for them; some seriously impressive work has come in across all areas.
“The changes to the 2020 categories seem to be a hit – printers across all spectrum of the print industry have good options for entry areas for their products.
“At this point the label area is up on last year and currently it’s not the wine label entries that are leading the charge. The food and beverage area is looking quite exciting and some of the entries in this area are really stunning. I know the label judges found last year tough. Well, I would think this year they might find the quality has further advanced.
“The new Structural Design Packaging area has also attracted new players and some really exciting work and currently the Innovation and Business Development area is also ahead of last year which bodes well for the Industry moving forward. It’s always great to see what new innovations people are working with and whilst the numbers were lower in 2019 the trend seems to have reversed for 2020.”
It’s not too late to get involved with entry still but closing for all work on February 28. Visit www.prideinprintawards.co.nz for more information or call Sue or Lauren on 04 237 0482.
She adds, “Patrons and sponsors of the awards programme also have information so make sure you ask the suppliers that are supporting promotion of the awards.
Judging takes place in March and the Award winners will be announced in Auckland on the May 8.
