Kiwi packaging professionals have received an invitation to apply for a scholarship to further their understaning of the industry,
The Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA) and with the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) have asked for submissions from Australia and NEw Zealand. The programme aims to give packaging technologists, engineers and designers the opportunity to further their careers and complete a Diploma in Packaging Technology valued at some A$9000.
According to APPMA, the winner of the scholarship will advance their career with an internationally recognised qualification and study the principles of packaging, packaging materials and packaging processes.
APPMA says delegates graduating from a Diploma in Packaging Technology equip themselves for senior positions within the packaging industry’, and the graduates come from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines, and are typically experienced practitioners or managers in technical, sales and marketing, QA, purchasing, engineering or design.
“The Diploma in Packaging Technology is a Level 5 qualification which is internationally recognised for those wishing to pursue a career in the packaging industry or for those who are already in the industry and who wish to extend their knowledge and expertise. It has been offered by the AIP continuously since 1980 and has an exemplary record of successful students,” says APPMA.
Applications for the scholarship close on January 20, with the winners slated to be announced at the inaugural Packaging & Innovation Design Awards (PIDA’s) Gala Awards Night to be held on March 8 at the Novotel, Sydney Olympic Park.
