Packaging and label equipment supplier, Bobst will celebrate its 125th anniversary by launching a range of new packaging solutions at drupa.

Jean-Pascal Bobst, chief executive at Bobst, says, “This drupa will see us clearly demonstrate that we are going forward with the same dynamism and commitment that first won us our reputation in the industry. We will unveil innovations that will address the needs of brands and their suppliers for maximum efficiency, reduced time to market and optimised printing processes.”

The company calls its new Mastercut 106 PER the most productive die-cutter available in the industry. It will launch this and its Masterfoil 106 PR hot-foil stamping press, which it says will deliver up to a 50 per cent reduction in foil use and 30 per cent increase in press productivity.

Bobst will also unveil extended colour gamut printing, new CI flexo, in-line flexo, gravure and digital printing presses.

Visitors who pre-register online for the Bobst booth at drupa can also access its innovation compass technology, which sends information about the solutions they are interested in straight to their smartphones.

Founded in 1890 by Joseph Bobst in Lausanne, Switzerland, the company boasts a presence in more than 50 countries including operations in Australia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.  It employs over 5000 people worldwide and reported a $1.78bn turnover last year.
