Orora managing director and CEO Nigel Garrard has been recognised as manufacturing executive of the year at an event held in Sydney, Australia by publication The CEO Magazine.
Garrard was awarded the gong alongside 24 other winners in their respective industry categories, including energy and resources, start-ups, not-for-profit and health and pharmaceutical.
The Orora CEO beat out three other finalists for the manufacturing executive of the year, David Oliver Australia region president of Assa Abloy, Greg Ellis, managing director of Rinnai Australia and Stuart Payne, director of GP Graders.
Garrard has been CEO of packaging giant Orora since 2013 when it demerged from fellow packaging firm Amcor. Under his stewardship over the past three years,
