With just a week to go until this year’s Women in Print events take place in Auckland and Wellinngton, PrintNZ reports some spaces till available.
sold out year after year. The Auckland Women in Print evening will take place at Sorrento in the Park on October 12 and the Wellington event will take place at the West Plaza Hotel on October 13.
Sponsored by BJ Ball, these events have a solid tradition of bringing women in the industry together. Ruth Cobb, general manager for PrintNZ, says, “Women in Print offers a great opportunity for women in our industry to meet and network, both with new friends or with women they have known fpor a long time.”
Jo Taylor, this year’s speaker at Women in Print will deliver a presentation called If you can dream it you can do it. Taylor, started Latitude magazine from her farming home just south of Ashburton in 2007. She saw an opportunity for high quality magazine featuring positive stories about Cantabrians and the local area. With subscribers up and down the country the magazine has gone from strength to strength. In 2015, she received the New Zealand Enterprising Rural Women Award for her efforts with Latitude.
Women in Print have become calendar highlights and generally sell-out. Cobb says, “It is easy to register, just download a form from our web site printnz.co.nz.”
