New Zealanders entering the 26th annual Australasian Catalogue Association Awards have until Friday June 9 to get their entries in.
The growing Awards programme, a Trans-Tasman competition since last year, welcomed over 700 entries and 750 attendees last year. Organisers say the competitive heat has increased this year with a greater focus on effective retail marketing and a new
category.
Kiwis can enter the New Zealand ACA only categories: Fashion; Home; Cosmetics and Pharmacy; Recreation and Leisure; B2C; and Retailers. However, the ACA says it will accept New Zealand entries into Australian categories when suitable.
Judging will take place over two weeks in Sydney, Melbourne, and New Zealand by over 50 judges selected from within the catalogue industry.
ACA says the entries give a chance for all in the industry to showcase their best work. It recommends that entrants provide the judges with a short, succinct paragraph on the effectiveness of the catalogue.
Kellie Northwood, chief executive of the ACA, says, “Year after year, the Awards continue to be a celebration of a vibrant and growing industry. Trends emerging throughout the year are recognised by the Judging Team, as are campaigns that deliver strong brand and efficacy results. We always look forward to celebrating with the entire industry on the night and this year in a bigger venue will be very exciting.”
The awards night will take place at the Melbourne Conventiond and Exhibition Centre on August 25. The Australasian Catalogue Association represents catalogues, flyers, leaflet sand samples. It works to act fairly and responsibly, and promotes the ongoing viability of ACA Members.
