The 2008 World Championship Sailing Regatta will consist of four principal World Championships, three of which will be Olympic qualifying events.
This is the last opportunity for some of the countries to secure their participation in 2008 Beijing Olympic Games so competition is expected to be keen. The 2008 World Championships will be attended by more than 620 competitors representing over 40 nations. This international event is expected to be extensively covered by local and world media.
