An addition to the production and wide format range of Océ products supplied and serviced by Konica Minolta New Zealand, The new press is the centrepiece of the new VarioPrint 6000 Ultra line, the fastest most productive family of ultra high speed, high volume digital perfecting systems, according to Konica Minolta.

Paul Thomas, National Manager Production Printing for Konica Minolta New Zealand believes the new press possesses great potential for the New Zealand printing industry. He says, “What we are seeing is a huge leap forward in both speed and productivity for the commercial digital printing market. And combined with the Océ reputation for high quality output and durability, the VarioPrint 6320 offers our clients a strategic and market advantage for their businesses.”

The company says the VarioPrint 6320 features new Océ ScreenPoint technology quality control, allowing fine-tuning of printed product at the printer itself, eliminating the need to return to the desktop to change a file. Océ also points to open platform integration to bring greater productivity to a variety of production environments.

The release comes three years after the introduction of the popular Océ VarioPrint 6000 family in 2006, the first cutsheet printer to exceed 200ppm through use of its patented Océ Gemini duplex technology. Bert van Agen, vice president, marketing and strategic planning Océ-Technologies BV says, “The new speed level creates more opportunities for customers to take on more types of jobs. We expect the system will quickly find a place with high-end in-house and digital print shops and commercial printers, as well as corporate and commercial transaction environments.”

He adds, “Customers can also replace multiple production printing systems with a single Océ VarioPrint 6320 Ultra system, driving down costs, footprint, manpower requirements, and energy consumption.”
