Safety in the workplace will feature as the main topic for the next Auckland meeting of the New Zealand Sign and Display Association.
The meeting takes place at 5.30pm on Thursday at the the Surrey Hotel in Grey Lynn. The main speaker for the evening, Linda Wilson, works as the senior health and safety inspector with Worksafe NZ in Auckland. She will discuss the proposed changes to the health and safety laws.
Brian Fairchild, secretary for the NZSDA, says, “Changes to the health and safety laws will place an emphasis on employers and employees getting the messages about safety and implementing them. After Linda’s presentation, there will be ample time for questions I’m sure.”
He has requested that anyone attending advises NZSDA of their attendance. He says, “A quick email to the secretary@nzsda.org.nz will suffice thanks. I look forward to the prospect of seeing everyone on Thursday.”
