The company has appointed Chris Beard to work with its converting team, planning production and handling logistics in order to boost its service to customers, primarily in the packaging grades.
Thomas Ben, division manager at BJ Ball, believes the move represents an important upgrading of the company’s commitment to New Zealand customers. He says, “Chris will focus on customer requirements from initial order through co-ordination of lead and production times to final delivery and accurate invoicing. The result will be quicker responses and continued improvements in service.”
He says Beard’s appointment prepares the way for the installation of a new sheeter capable of increasing production by up to four times current capacity.
Currently undergoing detailed product training before taking up his new duties, Beard keeps busy at nights studying towards a business degree.
