The exhibition contains the five winning and twenty finalist pieces chosen from the Mohawk 08 international design competition, which attracted a field of 1400 entries in its most recent judging. The Mohawk Show 08 catalogue, profiling the top entries, will be available for purchase at the events.
This year, guests visiting the Mohawk Show evenings will also have an opportunity to walk away with a piece of local art work, as long as they successfully at one of the charity art auctions featured in the shows. Proceeds from the auctions go in support of Ronald McDonald Houses in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch.
The art work, donated by the artists, will be sold by real estate auctioneer Wayne Bobergs.
Dates and times for the exhibitions are 6pm July 24 at Hopetoun Alpha in Auckland, and 5.30pm July 31 at Christchurch Convention Centre in Christchurch.
