Merry Christmas to all our readers.
As the year draws to a close, we take this opportunity to wish everyone the best for the festive season.
Looking back on 2017, we saw the printing industry going through many changes. In fact, change has become the norm. Successful print, signage, and packaging companies have embracced that idea and have adapted their processes and adopted the technology, solutions, and strategies necessary to move themselves ahead.
For suppliers, the years has seen the adoption of some of the technology from last year’s drupa. However, much of what drupa 2016 promised has yet to materialise in terms of technology on the floor.
Information technoilogy continues to influence our industries and companies like EFI, IQ, and Tharstern have seen their solutions embedded in companies’ consciousness. The digital suppliers have all had major successes, and some notable flops, during the year. We expect them to pump more technology through the industry in 2018.
Traditional suppliers have adjusted to changes outside their control and, while they now have a lower prfile in more mature markets like New Zealand, they continue to develop and adapt their own strategies for survival.
For New Zealand Printer Inky Fingers,
In 2018, we have a range of new initiatives along with another Power 50 planned.
Meanwhile, if circumstances allow, please take some time out to spend with loved ones at this special time of year.
A watershed year for ourr magazine
