Merry Christmas and Happy
The red flowering Pōhutukawa trees mean Christmas and New Year will soon arrive

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. As 2020 draws to a close, we take the opportunity to thank all of our readers, contributors, and advertisers for your fantastic support during the year.

Throughout the printing, signage, and packaging industries, we will look back at the year with mixed emotions and opinions. Some will feel angry at what 2020 threw at them and how forces outside their control cost them part or all of their livelihoods. Others will feel gratitude that they have made it through the year alive, their businesses and jobs intact, and in better shape than they feared.

We take pride in the fact that we could produce 11 issues of New Zealand Printer Magazine this year. We also feel grateful to PrintNZ for collaborating with New Zealand Printer to host the year’s only physical event: The People in Print and Rising Stars of Print Awards, which took place on December 1 at Sorrento in the Park at Maungakiekie in Auckland.

Despite the successful development of vaccines, the future remains uncertain. The economy has moved out of recession and we hope it will continue to recover and provide a vibrant business environment. Meanwhile, our industry professionals continue to do what they do best: create awesome printed products.

We will return with more online news on January 14 and a busy edition of New Zealand Printer Magazine in early February.

From the team at New Zealand Printer Magazine, we wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year
