Mark Andy has introduced Pro Series, a new class of fully servo-driven presses designed to optimise single-pass pressure sensitive label printing.
According to the manufacturer, the Pro Series delivers low operating costs with a proven design, a built-in sMArt link production monitoring system, and distinct features that reduce operating costs and improve profit margins.
Pro Series embraces the attributes of the Mark Andy Performance Series with economics and efficiency in mind. This modular and flexible platform has been enhanced for pressure-sensitive label applications and will be available globally.
Pro Series will be offered in 330 and 430 web width versions achieving a maximum speed of 120 meters per minute and handling substrates between 50 and 305 microns.
The new line is configured and built to modernise the pressroom floor, driving efficiencies for shorter-run work in larger operations and allowing operational improvements for small and medium-label businesses.
Pro Series has been developed as an easy-to-operate machine to overcome today’s labour challenges. It maximises waste savings, reduces set-up/changeover times, and incorporates efficient energy-reducing components.
The modularity carries future value for adopters of the technology. The system is designed and built as an upgradeable ‘flexo-to-hybrid’ solution, enables an upgrade to a digital hybrid label press using Mark Andy Digital Pro MAX technology and offers the unique ability to run bidirectional web paths.
The new line will be available through Aldus Graphics, the regional distributor of Mark Andy equipment in Australia and New Zealand.
Aldus Graphics national sales manager Chris Bodger shared how popular the Pro Series was: “We are taking orders now for the new Pro Series in the ANZ region and are extremely excited about the value proposition that the new platform offers our pressure-sensitive label clients. Those who are looking to get a fast return on their investment and who don’t always need to process highly complex substrates that better suit the Performance Series range of presses will benefit most.”
Mark Andy will showcase the new Pro Series at Labelexpo Europe in September at Brussels Expo in Belgium.
