In its first year of operations indepnedent of the MAN Group, MAN Roland
Druckmaschinen AG increased its sales to over €2bn and
made a profit of €118 million – the best
operating result in the company's history.

The company gives much of the credit to the performance of its
web press operations, as well as the product offensive accompanied by sustained cost
management in the sheetfed press segment.

The
results have also been helped by the economic situation in major markets, with Germany rallying and Asia described as 'robust'.

In announcing its results, MAN Roland says there is worldwide growth in the
printing industry's most important products.

It predicts newspapers, packaging, magazines
and commercial printing products will grow by four to five per cent between now and
2010.

Due to a good backlog of orders and the positive global
economy overall, MAN Roland expects a moderate increase in business volume in the 2007
fiscal year with very good results.

The development of the company’s
business with services, spare parts and process-compliant system components
(printservices, printnet, printcom and printconsult), its expansion in growth
markets, new sheetfed and web press products, along with implementation of the
RACE programme, “Growing the Enterprise Value” are the cornerstones of MAN Roland’s
strategic orientation.
