The awards went to the bizhub Press C8000 in the Colour Digital Printing Equipment category; the bizhub PRO 950 in the Monochrome Digital Printing Equipment category; and to the Printgroove v1.5 in the Web To Print Solutions category. Dave Hawkes, market development manager for Konica Minolta Business Solutions New Zealand, said, “We’re delighted to receive the Best of Show awards that recognise our innovation and leadership at such an important industry event. Konica Minolta is committed to providing ongoing product innovation for our customers in digital imaging, and this is further recognition of our presence in that market.”

InfoTrends, a leading market research and consulting firm in the digital imaging and document solutions industry, partnered with the On Demand Conference & Exposition to produce the awards programme. On Demand describes itself as the largest conference and exposition dedicated to the technologies that personalise, manage, print, and deliver content. Jeff Hayes, president of InfoTrends, said, “These awards are meant to recognize exceptional innovation in the digital printing industry. Konica Minolta is one of the leaders in our industry, and we are pleased to acknowledge their accomplishments.”

Of the three machines receiving awards, the bizhub PRESS C8000 is Konica Minolta’s flagship digital press. The company says the press combines stable, high-resolution output with full-colour quality at output speeds of 80ppm. The bizhub PRO 950 is a monochrome digital press that can print, copy, and scan documents at up to 95 ppm with application in high volume departmental use, corporate in-plant printing, data centres, pay-for-print  and even short-run commercial print applications, according to Konica Minolta. The company says its Printgroove has application in light production printing, CRD and small to mid-sized print shop applications. It can accept input in any format, including text, graphics, photos, even presentations and multimedia. Konica Minolta says Printgroove can be configured to fit workflow like a glove, handling rising traffic volume and accommodating as many printing steps and stations as business processes demand.
