The Jet Technologies Innovations Series blasted off in Auckland on Monday, with a series of briefing sessions, aimed at the label and narrow web industries.
The event, held at Sorrento in the Park on One Tree Hill, attracted members of the print, packaging and label community. Jet Technologies hosted the Auckland leg of the series in association with SALMA, seeing the series forming part of its commitment to the label and narrow web industries.
David Reece, sales director for Jet Technologies introduced the speakers, beginning with Gary Seward, managing director of UK company Pulse Roll Label Products. Seward delivered a presentation on how regulations affect his part of the industry and how his company works within the system to produce optimised ink systems.
Next up, from Germany, Dieter Niederstadt, technical marketing manager for Asahi Photoproducts, spoke about flexo printing followed by Peter Scott, managing director of Screen GP Australasia. Also presenting, Damon Norton, film category manager at Jet Technologies, covered several topics of interest including tactile films and environmental considerations around plastic.
Mark Jackson, president of SALMA, thanked Jet Technologies for hosting the Innovation Series, adding that these events help everyone in the industry.
