Epson has scooped the Thomson Reuters Top 100 Global Innovators award which recognises the world’s 100 most innovative organisations. The win, which is the fifth year straight for the company, comes just weeks after it announced a new corporate vision called Epson 25.

Executive officer of the intellectual property division, Epson, Toshiya Takahata says, “It is often said that management and IP strategies need to go hand in hand, and I believe that IP is the foundation stone for corporate activities.†Takahata says Epson 25 will further incorporate intellectual property (IP) into its corporate activity to pursue an integrated strategy for its business and IP divisions moving forward. He adds, “My top priority is to make people understand that Epson has powerful IP because of its technology background. The Epson Group, as a whole, shares a common goal of becoming a company that is indispensable to its customers.â€
