ID2Q7 is an XTension that easily and effectively converts Adobe InDesign files (v1.5 through 4.x) into QuarkXPress v6.x or 7 documents with a single click.
Based in Santa Ana, California, Markzware is a leading developer of quality assurance, data conversion and workflow solutions for the international graphic arts, printing, publishing and digital multi-media industries. Its European headquarters are located in Rijswijk, the Netherlands.
The new software allows a conversion process which includes elements of the documents such as object positions, colours, fonts, text attributes, images, etc. Additionally, ID2Q also converts between cross-platform files; for instance converting PC InDesign files to Mac QuarkXPress and vice versa.
Scott Allan, director of marketing for Quark says the availability of a tool that converts files from InDesign to QuarkXPress meets a growing demand from customers for such an application.
“The Windows version of ID2Q solves complex problems for many designers in repurposing content and salvaging projects that were created in InDesign,” he says.
Patrick Marchese, president of Markzware agrees there is a substantial demand for migrating content to and from InDesign and QuarkXPress.
“Re-creating documents from scratch is costly and this new ID2Q for QuarkXPress on the Windows platform will further ease data transitioning.”
