Mike Boyle, regional head of the HP Asia Pacific & Japan Graphics Solutions Business, will take on the role of managing director for HP South Pacific at the end of the year.
He will take over from Paul Gracey, who has served as interim managing director since May. Boyle, a popular and effective leader with broad leadership experience, has spent over 20 years in the industry in a variety of roles, living and working across multiple regions including Europe, Asia and South Pacific. Boyle and Gracey will continue in their current roles until the end of this fiscal year, with Gracey returning to leading South Pacific Printing Systems after that.
Boyle holds a Master of Business Administration and a Postgraduate Diploma in Technology Management from Macquarie Graduate School of Management, Sydney along with a Bachelor of Secondary Education from Canberra University.
As vice president of HP’s Graphics Solutions Business in Asia Pacific and Japan, he has responsibility for the overall region profit and loss and all go-to-market capabilities in the region including the sales and marketing of Graphics Solutions Business products to a broad range of markets and segments, with a focus on delivering innovation to partners and customers as they transition from analogue to digital printing and find new creative solutions to business opportunities.
In other roles, he worked as senior general manager for Canon Professional Print in the Oceania region. In this role, he oversaw the development of print service providers and the reseller channel to drive wide format, sign and display, cut sheet toner and other key technologies and services.
He also held various local and international positions in Océ across marketing, sales and business unit leadership, with a strong track record of market development and customer enablement of new technology.
