Post press manufacturer, Hohner is redeveloping its HSB 8.000 Saddle Stitcher with two newer models to be launched at drupa, the HSB 9.000 and the Modular HSB 13.000. Cyber New Zealand supplies Hohner locally. The company says the HSB 9.000 is more user-friendly and faster than the previous model. This has been achieved with a seven inch touch-screen interface, which Hohner says simplifies use even further by using symbols, rather than text.

Hohner has also added new horizontal feeders on the HSB 9.000, which can be used with a combination of both old and new feeder types. Hohner’s Modular HSB 13.000 is considered the big brother of the new saddlestitcher range. According to Hohner, “This fully automatic saddlestitcher with a running speed of up to 13.000 per hour gives customers a wide range of sizes from small formats up to DIN A3 Plus, thus offering 2 up A5 production.†For ease of use, the Modular incorporates a radio remote control to reduce down time and spoilage. It also has a single stroke function which allows a single product to be released by the control panel or any other component. At drupa, Hohner will also introduce its HSB DIGI-FS 8 finishing system, the new Foldnak Compact booklet maker, and Folnak 8 booklet maker.
