Global print solutions developer EFI has reported record second quarter revenue of US$245.7m ($347.2), up 21 per cent compared to second quarter 2015.

Also up by 21 per cent, the company’s revenue for six months ending June 30 2016 which soared to US$479.8m. Guy Gecht, chief executive at EFI, says the company achieved solid results despite disruption to the market caused by global events occurring in recent months. He say, “EFI’s market position at the drupa trade show validated both our strategy and product road map, and we are particularly encouraged by the exceptional reception to our new Nozomi platform. The drupa momentum is feeding into the strength we are seeing in the industrial inkjet and Productivity Software segments which keep us on track to deliver our stated goal of $1bn in revenues for the year.†At drupa, Gecht told printers they need to jump into new markets as commodity printing drives down prices and sustainability as he launched the new EFI Nozomi digital folding carton press and a new ink set, AquaEndure.
