Label press manufacturer Gallus will take over service and support for its machinery in New Zealand from January.
Converting Technology has filled the service and support role but Gallus, now owned by Heidelberg, has made the decision to handle this directly, in line with its parent company plans. Recently, James Rodden, head of Gallus Australia, travelled to New Zealand to inform Kiwi customers about the company’s latest digital converting system and to inform them that Gallus Australia would support them from January 2015.”
The new Gallus DCS 340 digital inline label printing system (DCS = digital converting system) offers a native resolution of 1200dpi, print speed of 50 mpm and maximum register accuracy. The result of a co-project involving Heidelberg and Fujifilm, comes as a response to demand for short runs and customised or versioned labels.
New Zealanders can expect to see more visits from Rodden. He says, “From January1, we will represent Gallus Oceania. We can’t say too much at this stage but we are working on several strategies that will assist our customers as we head into the future. We will have more information for the New Zealand market in January.”
