Fujifilm is providing medical and printing equipment support to coronavirus affected sites in China.
As part of the support package, Fujifilm is donating approximately $1.56m in medical and printing equipment and supplies to support the response in China. This includes the supply of Fujifilm’s medical diagnostic systems and devices that support clinical examinations for pneumonia and Fuji Xerox’s printers to be used at medical sites.
On top of that Fujifilm has started to develop a new testing reagent for the novel coronavirus. A company statement says, “Fujifilm continues to support medical sites in Wuhan and other regions in China by providing medical equipment installation and maintenance services quickly and by responding to customer inquiries 24 hours a day. Fujifilm and its group companies extend their sincerest sympathies to all those infected and affected by the novel coronavirus.”
As the coronavirus epidemic continues affecting the world, causing sickness and death, other companies and organisations have taken steps to prevent its spread and protect their employees and customers.
Several Chinese trade shows have announced postponements. Organiser Informa Markets issued a letter to exhibitors and visitors, explaining the situation and postponement, saying, “As the Novel Coronavirus continue to rage on a large scale across China, many provinces and cities have activated the highest level of response mechanism for major public health emergencies.
