Kaitaia has topped New Zealand’s printing.com businesses, taking out the printing.com Franchise of the Year 2014.

The Northland print and design company, one of 40 printing.com stores, competed for the title in Wellington at printing.com’s national conference,

Adam Still, general manager of printing.com New Zealand, says the Kaitaia franchise stood out in this year’s competition with its accurate application of printing.com processes; the implementation of new initiatives; and its brand engagement over the past 12 months. He says, “The team in Kaitaia has been the earliest adopters of new technology within the printing.com offering and has worked extremely hard over the past year to grow its business in alignment with the vision and direction of printing.com New Zealand head office.”

John Stewart, owner at printing.com Kaitaia, credits the award to his team’s hard work and dedication and printing.com head office’s continued support and supply of breakthrough print and online resources and technology. He says. “Our team has worked really hard to get our online ordering system, Brand Demand, out and in front of customers. It’s a great product and we are very proud to receive this award. Our online systems and editable templates have set us apart from our competitors, they have enabled us to extend our territory so that we can provide for clients all over New Zealand. We now have five large franchised companies ordering print every day through Brand Demand.”

Still adds, ““John and his wife Rachel then positioned themselves as internal ambassadors to assist other franchisees where they wanted improvement, anything from the adoption of processes to working on product presentations for client meetings. Kaitaia’s efforts as a franchisee go beyond the call of duty and have inspired others to strive for excellence.”

John Stewart has many years’ experience in the print industry. He bought shares in Top Print in 2000 but, when the financial crisis hit, he made some future-proofing decisions and joined with the global franchise, printing.com. He says that, since then, the Kaitaia team has taken advantage of the range of resources on offer and the marketing systems in place in order to deliver the best possible service for its clients and from there has built the successful business it is today.

The 40 printing.com franchises throughout New Zealand make printing.com the largest distributed printing company in the country. Stewart says, “Over the past seven years printing.com has supplied us with resources and technologies which has been vital to our growth as a business and the added value we pass on to our customers. We are so glad to be a part of this franchise and love the ever-evolving world of print which challenges us to be better so that we can offer the best solution for our customers’ needs. We are moving more and more toward online solutions which gives us the opportunity for national reach and cost effective, easy access for our customers.”
