The Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA) will make its first foray into exhibiting at FoodTech PackTech 2016 from October 11-13 at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland.

Representing a range of Australia’s leading packaging and processing machinery and allied components companies, the APPMA’s membership includes manufacturers and distributors and importers of packaging and processing machinery who are suppliers to industries such as food, beverage, dairy, meat, poultry, seafood, confectionery, bakery, snacks, and fresh produce.

The APPMA says that 24 of its member companies will also exhibit at FoodTech PackTech. These include: A&D Weightec, ABB, Accupack, Confoil, Heat and Control, HMPS, IFM Electronic, Integrated Packaging, JL Lennard, JMP Engineering, KHS, Multivac, Omron, Propac, Reynolds Group, Rhima, Rockwell Automation, Romheld, SICK, SMC Pneumatics, TNA, Tronics, Walls Machinery and Wedderburn.

It will also host an NZIFST seminar at the show. Timed for 12.45pm on October 11, the seminar will include a panel of experts who will discuss key trends and topics such as Cobots: Collaborative Robots, Internet of Things:4.0; Serialisation and Authentication; Machine Vision; and Total Cost of Ownership. Panellists will come from companies such as ABB, Rhima, SICK, A&D Weightec and Rockwell Automation.
