Former Nippa president Karen Farr has taken up the position of business development manager at print industry supplier and finishing specialist TS Wilson Jnr.

Steve Wilson, managing director of TS Wilson Jnr, says that Farr has a real passion for the printing industry. He says, “We welcome Karen to TS Wilson Jnr. She has a background with in house printing, managing Unitec’s copy and digital centre for 12 years. She will use her knowledge of growing a business along with experience with the type of finishing equipment that companies need in a variety of situations.”

Farr looks forward to working with a range of New Zealand companies in her new role. She says, “TS Wilson Jnr sells excellent gear, some of which we used in the Unitec operation. Over the years, the company developed a strong relationship there. Steve and Geoff Wilson have also always been sponsors of Nippa, along with their support for the industry. They see the bigger picture and I am looking forward to working with a progressive, family-owned and operated company.”

She will have responsibility for finding new business and helping to cement relationships with existing clients. Wilson concludes, “Karen knows first-hand what equipment is best for different jobs and she is creative as well as technical. She has actually worked in a print shop environment, gaining experience in how to get the best out of the variety of solutions available.”
