Tarsus Group, the organizer of Labelexpo trade shows, expects its Southeast Asia 2023 edition to break records as Digital Embellishment Trail has been added to the program, and further exhibitors have been confirmed.
The Digital Embellishment Trail, successfully introduced at Labelexpo Americas last year, featured inkjet varnishing, digitally applied tactile effects, digital foiling and laser die cutting. Also in Thailand, participating companies, including Kurz, Grafotronic, Domino and Epson, will demonstrate the exciting possibilities of variable embellishment technologies.
It will also be the first chance to see the results of the partnership announced at Labelexpo Americas, which sees Grafotronic combining its converting and finishing technologies with Kurz digital embellishment.
Kurz’s patented inkjet on foil technology delivers metallic finishes and bright colour effects on a wide range of substrates, including uncoated papers, with minimal waste and without the need for tooling, significantly reducing production time and costs.
Tarsus Group strategic director Andy Thomas-Emans said, “The Digital Embellishment Trail will give converters the chance to handle samples demonstrating how digital imaging has revolutionized short run, variable printing and decoration without the use of analogue tooling. It is one of the most exciting developments in label technology.”
Durst has confirmed it will show a Tau RSC E 330 5C on its stand, billed as an economically attractive entry into the Tau RSC technology. The press has been designed to evolve and grow with the business and is equipped with native 1,200 DPI resolution and comes loaded with Durst Workflow and Durst Analytics software and optional Durst Smart Shop software, enabling web-to-print technology.
“We look forward to meeting many label converters from Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and many more countries! Durst equipment has a reputation for the highest quality, best productivity and future-proof total cost of ownership – Labelexpo Southeast Asia will allow us to show those strengths to the entire label community. It’s going to be a great show, and Durst is proud to be there with our local partner EP Digital,” said the company.
Tarsus Group has also confirmed the participation of BJC, a leading agency representing HP, Screen, Glunz + Jensen, Hybrid Software, SisTrade, AGFA, X-Rite, Eastcom, Impact, Lasercomb and AsahiKasei. Asahi also has its stand.
The technical half-day Label Academy led workshop will take place on the show’s final day, focusing on self-adhesive label materials.
The show floor will also feature a Sustainability in Print Café, showcasing how technology and products are already starting to reduce waste and contribute to a better environment. Visitors will be able to engage with projects and case studies and learn how these can make a difference to their label and package printing business.
Event manager Richard Quirk commented, “Labelexpo Southeast Asia 2023 will be the show that brings together ASEAN and the wider region’s label and package print community for the first time since the pandemic. So, this will be the first time these visitors have had the chance to see the astonishing technological developments across all label sectors, from digital and conventional presses to finishing technology, materials and consumables. Excitement is growing as the show approaches in just a few weeks.”
Labelexpo Southeast Asia 2023 takes place from 9-11 February at BITEC, Bangkok, Thailand.
