The Epson SureColor F2260 DTG, direct to garment, printer has received an iF Design Award 2024.

The German-based iF International Forum Design organisation oversees the iF Design Award. It focuses on innovative industrial product designs. Since its inception in 1954, the iF Design Award has earned a strong reputation worldwide as it only honours designs that clear certain selection criteria.

This year, a panel of 132 experts judged 10,800 entries from 72 countries and regions. Judging criteria included consideration of practicality and workmanship, innovativeness, sustainability, functionality, usability, safety, aesthetics, and universal design.

Epson says its SureColor F2260 garment printer can directly print onto t-shirts and other clothes. It adds that the printer’s compact design makes it easy to install and transport. Epson has changed the design of the operating unit to make t-shirts easy to attach. The company also improved productivity. Epson hopes the SureColor F2260 will contribute to the digitalisation of the textile printing industry.

Epson scanners also received iF Design Award 2024. Epson says its DS-C380W and DS-C420W offer several benefits. Their U-turn paper feeding vertical layout, frontal operation and flattened back achieve space saving, which helps contribute to an environment where the user can work comfortably and smoothly.
