Epson has launched the SureColor F2160 direct-to-garment printer.

The company says its SureColor SC-F2160 raises the productivity bar while enhancing output quality and reducing running costs.

The new printer produces full colour prints on a range of items including t-shirts, sweatshirts, polo shirts and tote bags. It incorporates a host of enhancements including easier job set-up, faster loading, and faster printing. It features new print modes for improved imaging with reduced graininess and an enhanced gamut. Epson has enhanced the ink and print systems to enable improved reliability with reduced user maintenance.

As a complete Epson solution, it includes the printer, printhead, ink, and software. The company says it has designed all parts to work together.

Epson says the SureColor F2160 joins its family of textile solutions such as the SureColor F9360 wide-format textile printer, which won won the 2017 SGIA Product of the Year Award in the Roll-to-Roll Dye Sublimation on Textile category. The F9360 features an integrated new fabric wiping system coupled with a roll-to-roll media support system to handle economical lightweight transfer papers.
