Digital manufacturer Xante has announced its next-generation digital envelope press, the En/Press.
Robert Ross, president and chief executive at Xante, says, “En/Press raises the bar for digital press technology. It’s a solution with incredible print quality, dead-on spot colour matching, simple ease of use, durability, low cost, and CTP polyester plate printing.
“Producing a solid 4000 colour #10(similar to DLE) envelopes per hour with variable data, En/Press dominates the competition in today’s dynamic marketplace.”
A four-color process digital press built around an Adobe PostScript controller the new printer offers full-colour output at up to 60 letter-size pages per minute or 4000 #10(similar to DLE) envelopes per hour with variable data. Powered by Xante’s iQueue workflow software, En/Press delivers print quality up to 4800 dpi.
The press includes PlateMaker 8 computer-to-plate technology offering polyester plates. It produces plates on a variety of sizes up to 13cmx49cm for one or two colour jobs. Xante has redesigned the feed system with a slimmer profile, offering a 1000 envelope capacity, accepting media as small as the Enterprise now accepts media as small as 8.8cmx8.8cm. Xante says it provides the operator with the quickest method for switching from one envelope size to another.
