Durst will demonstrate its new Tau 330 RSC label press this month at Labelexpo Americas in Chicago.
The Durst Tau 330 RSC UV inkjet label and package printing press features 330 mm print width and a print speed of up to 78 linear metres per minute at a resolution of 1200 x 1200dpi. It uses eight colour stations (CMYK+W+OVG) with new designed high pigmented inks, achieving close to 95 per cent Pantone colour gamut coverage.
Helmuth Munter, global segment manager for Labels & Package Printing at Durst Group, says, “The Durst Tau 330 RSC has already achieved over 10 successful installations in Europe. Our customers have been very impressed by its print quality, production speed as well as its low variable and total cost of ownership. It is a game-changer and is challenging conventional print technologies that will allow it to become the mainstream technology of label printing in the near future.
“Small, medium, and now long runs are highly profitable with our digital systems. Thanks to a cost-effective total cost of ownership, the options are virtually unlimited and open up an enormous potential for new products and services in an ever-changing market.”
