A return to Levels Two and Three means greater vigilance and focus on health and safety

Industry training organisation Competenz will combine with print, signage, packaging, and a host of other industries to promote on the job training careers during August.

The Got a Trade Week promotion runs through August 21-28. Competenz aims to help Kiwis build skills, careers and businesses, partnering with businesses that share an interest in trades and training the next generation.

From Timaru to Auckland, more than 30 companies will play host to Competenz Discovery Tours, an opportunity for school leavers and parents to explore the workplace; to see live demonstrations; and to meet apprentices already working in the industry.

These free events will showcase a range of industry sectors including baking, butchery; printing; signmaking, forestry; and all forms of engineering.
