International soft drink brand Coca-Cola’s New Zealand division has recognised its top suppliers at an awards ceremony held in Auckland, with several companies receiving accolades.
The 2016 winner of the coveted Supplier of the Year Award – through displaying excellence throughout all aspects of the supplier relationship – was Hoshi-zaki Lancer – a manufacturer of beverage systems and a supplier to the Coke system globally. Lancer designs and supplies soft drink dispensing fountain systems and ice machines.
Coca-Cola also awarded its Supplier Quality of Service Recognition Award which was given to Orora Cans, the beverage manufacturing division of Australian-headquartered brand Orora.
The winner of the Supplier Representative of the Year – in recognition of the passion, approach and commitment to innovation and safety – was Andre Ploeg from bottling outfit OI Glass.
Coca-Cola’s Supplier Innovation of the Year Award was given to SmudgeApps, the beverage giant stating it demonstrates a ‘great understanding of Coca-Cola Amatil, its business values and needs’.
The supplier accolades were distributed at a special awards ceremony held at the Viaduct Convention Centre in Auckland.
Coca-Cola NZ operates five production facilities located in Auckland, Putaruru and Christchurch with 13 bottling lines and three warehouses in Auckland, Palmerston North and Christchurch. It employs some 1000 staff across New Zealand.
