Müller Martini Australia has named Ian Sampson its new country manager, as Roman Beeler steps aside from the role.
Beeler remains in the organisation, which he has worked for over the past 25 years, on a part-time basis. He will focus on the technical side of the business and special projects. This will provide continuity and support to Sampson and the Müller Martini team.
Sampson, an industry veteran, has spent decades in operations management with one of Australia’s leading printers. He says, “My job will be to pick up the reins from Roman and lead the company through the challenges and opportunities coming from the ongoing consolidation in the Australian printing industry, and the further developments in the digital sphere, where we have some very interesting new developments coming up.”
Sven Olsen, Müller Martini Asia Pacific regional managing director, says, “Our business and organisation in Australia is in good shape, so it is good timing for Roman to hand over the lead to Ian.
“And the fact that the two have known each other for 15 years and that Roman remains in the organisation in a different role, is of course also extremely helpful for both us and our customers.”
Müller Martini offers conventional and digital solutions for book and magazine production, including stitching, sewing, soft and hardcover binding, as well as related technical services and parts solutions.
