The Easy Apply RS (RS being short for "Repositionable" and "Slideable") material is a premium cast vinyl ideal for digital printing. It has just been released into the New Zealand and Australian markets this month.
The RS technology used in the vinyl means that the vinyl stands-off the surface until pressure is applied making it easy to reposition and slide into place. Avery says the new technology will save up to 50 per cent in application time as a result.
In addition to the RS technology, the adhesive features air egress channels ensuring a bubble and wrinkle free application.
The improved glossy face film makes graphics stand out, and Avery says the 'paint like' finish is impressive "and there is no air egress channel pattern show through after application."
This new material is known as MPI 1005 EZ RS.
