Seven new custom car wrap colours feature in Avery Dennison’s latest additions to its supreme wrapping film portfolio.
Available in in New Zealand through Total Supply and Decrastrip, the new colours come from Diko Sulahian, a designer and luxury wheels manufacturer and Justin Pate, graphics installer. Sulahain says, “We achieved colour combinations and finishes with the vinyl that just aren’t available in paint and are much more affordable. They’re 3D from all angles and achieve a spectacular look in the sunlight.”
The Giovanna edition films feature a combination of metallic and pearlescent colours. Satin Pearl Nero, a black film, features a metallic pearlescent finish that results in a satin look. Others include Matte Metallic Grigio, a matte grey film with a gold flake and Satin Pearl Cielo Blu, a light blue metallic pearlescent film with a satin finish.
The limited edition Justin Pate supreme wrapping film series includes: Gloss Metallic Milky Way, Gloss Metallic Meteorite, Pearl Black and Pearl Bahama Blue. All four colours feature multidimensional finishes, with metallic flakes that reflect different colours.
Pate has worked closely with Avery Dennison for many years, teaching and administering vehicle wrapping classes and certification tests, performing demonstrations at trade shows and producing projects wrapped in Avery Dennison films. He says, “The opportunity to be creative and collaborate on new colours and finishes, especially with Avery Dennison, is an installer’s dream. Our goal was to hit that intangible point of excitement that certain vinyl film colours and finishes can achieve, that makes wrapping cars extra special.”
The signature edition supreme wrapping film range, one of Avery Dennison’s first branded collections of custom car wraps, features Avery Dennison’s patented Easy Apply RS adhesive technology, which the company says offers excellent conformability around curves and recesses. Avery Dennison says the new colours come in 1.524m x 22.86m, allowing installers to wrap the bonnet and sides of a vehicle without seams.
