At this year’s Auspack show, augmented reality specialist Omniverse Foster will create a virtual marketing experience.
Anne-Marie Mina, event executive at exhibitions and trade fairs, and organiser of Auspack says the physical promotional platform takes the form of a printed carton board box, mailed out as a flat pack which users can fold into a box.
She says, “This is physical-to-virtual promotion, taking potential visitors beyond the box into an immersive experience of what Auspack has to offer. We are excited to bring this exclusive experience to our audience, to demonstrate how augmented reality can transform packaging into a dynamic marketing tool that is set to revolutionise the industry,” she says.
According to Auspack, the augmented reality incorporates animated artwork of a processing and packaging plant, combined with an Auspack customised video. It believes this sends the message that Auspack is where to go for leading-edge technology developments that shape the packaging and processing industry’s future.
Darren Brits, chief operating officer at Omniverse Foster, says, “Augmented reality is the way of the future in on-pack communication. It is changing how consumers interact with and use products, and it lays a strong foundation for building brand loyalty.
“This was an exciting project to be involved with, demonstrating both our augmented reality expertise as well as our pack printing know how.”
