The New Zealand Sign and Display Association has opened entries for the Apprentice of the Year.
The award covers those employed by a current financial NZSDA member and registered with Competenz as a training apprentice.
Apprentices and employers have until May 4 next year to submit their entries. The criteria for selection includes all the elements of work flow involved in sign making, which includes customer engagement and communication; design ideas elements; manufacturing processes; and installation.
The Apprentice of the Year will receive a prize pack that includes a Computaleta Business Tools Grant, valued at $2,000 to go towards furthering their career; a Jenrite high quality trade products and tool kit from a range of top suppliers valued at $2,000; a Resene Letterheads Registration, covering travel, accommodation and registration, valued at $1,500; attendance to the New Zealand Sign and Display Awards, including travel and Accommodation for apprentice and employer, valued at $1,000; full NZSDA Conference registration for the following year for apprentice, valued at $1,500, and a framed award certificate and medal.
Second and third place will receive a prize pack including high quality trade products and tools, valued at $400, plus a $100 prezzy card and framed award certificate.
